Rebecca Ibarra

Rebecca Ibarra is originally from Los Angeles, California and now lives in Phoenix, Arizona where she took her National Council Licensure Examination to start practicing as a nurse. Her success did not come overnight. She was the first in her family to graduate high school and knew that she wanted a career in healthcare but didn’t know how or what. Not knowing where to start or having a mentor to talk to, forced her take a break to figure things out. Today she is a proud graduate of the Phoenix College Nursing Program and her son is following in her footsteps by entering the Bilingual Nursing Fellowship Program (BNFP) at South Mountain Community College. Rebecca is a role model for her family and encourages others interested in nursing to seek out resources and organizations like the National Association of Hispanic Nurses.
