Diana Ortega is from Chicago, Illinois and attends Chamberlain College of Nursing. She became interested in nursing after the birth of her son. The patience, care and confidence the nurses showed her while she was in the hospital inspired her to do the same for others. Diana says nursing school is tough and comes with lots of sacrifices. Luckily, she has two support groups: her academic one and her family. Diana attributes the hardship of nursing schol to her family’s support, especially when they take care of her son when she has to study. For Diana, the tears, late nights and missed family events are worth it to become the nurse she wants to be.
