Karen Salasblancas attends the Chamberlain College of Nursing. Although she grew up in Chicago, Illinois, she was born in Honduras. Karen immigrated from her native country at a very young age and has always aspired to become a nurse. The hardships that Karen endured provide her with unique insight and empathy toward suffering patients. She knows the field of nursing is her calling to help and take care of people. Karen wants others to know that it is possible to become a nurse if you are committed, organized and able to develop efficient study skills. Starting at a community college to get acquainted with the medical field was instrumental to her success.
